"It was hairless and had an elongated nose with large ears and a long tail, all were hairless. Hate to say it but after it made the left turn i made a turn to the safety of my house. I say it again I Have Never Seen Anything Like That!!!!!"
My daughter said that it was menacing. It had pointed ears, large sharp teeth, a wrinkled, leathery skin and a pig, pug style nose.
"The manananggal is described as scary, often hideous, usually depicted as female, and always capable of severing its upper torso and sprouting huge bat-like wings to fly into the night in search of its victims."
It was crouched down almost like in hiding and when I got too close to it that's when it stood up looked at me and ran away from me believe me my first thought was not to chase it. I was scared stiff but my cousin and little brother saw it too and ran.
“I'm not sure what it would be, but I can describe like it was yesterday..."
"I only lasted 2-3 seconds, but I saw it clearly; it was the size of a bird (smaller than a pigeon), it was dark-brown, it seemed to have small wings, one or two pairs, it was thin, and shaped like a human."
"It ran directly at us and in front of us probably about 10 feet and didn't make any noise. It had incredibly black fur, it was unnaturally dark."
It was pretty long and very dark and slowly came to the surface and dove in one smooth motion. It rose again several meters and crested in the same way and I remember thinking that there was something very odd about the shape this time...
It was at least four times bigger than the large bats with about a 7 meters (about 20 foot) wing span, and it glided while they flapped. It swooped down to the water, and on the wing plucked a 60-70cm (about 2 foot) fish effortlessly out the water, carrying it off, thrashing, in one claw.
"It turned its head and it's large, yellow eyes resembled the moon which had been vibrant and bright all weekend. The shoulders stood approximately four to five feet tall, its body was as long as the lane I was in..."
