In fact, a giant squid has not washed up along the shores of one of the freshwater great lakes. for those who may not know (and please feel free to pass this information along), The giant squid lives in the deep ocean and is rarely seen in shallow waters. Giant squid can grow to a tremendous size due to deep-sea gigantism, but it or no known squid can survive in a freshwater environment.
